- Treat all weapons as if they are loaded and ready to fire. NEVER relyon a safety.
- Never cross a fence, climb a tree or tree stand, or jump a ditch orstream with a loaded firearm.
- Never hoist a loaded firearm into your tree stand.
- Always unload your firearm before riding in vechile, boat, or ATV.
- Control and watch your muzzle. Dont point your firearm at anything you do not intend to shoot.
- Do not shoot unless absolutely sure of your target and what is beyondit.
- Know the range of your firearm. Even a .22 rimfire can carry over a mile.
- Be sure your barrel is free of obstructions.
- Always avoid alcoholic beverages before and during shooting.
- Always tell someone where you are going and when you plan on returning.
- Dress for the weather.
- Carry a flash light when walking to your stand before or after daylight.
